
ANTÓNIO ASSIS DE ALMEIDA TAKES THE CHAIRMAN'S CHAIR OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF BANCO MILLENNIUM ATLANTICO, FROM JANUARY 2019
Banco Millennium Atlântico ("ATLANTICO") announces the appointment of António João Assis de Almeida as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2019, thus succeeding Carlos José da Silva, which marks the culmination of a transformation and succession process that began in October 2015.
Carlos José da Silva, founding shareholder of this institution, will take the lead in the process of opening the Bank's capital on the stock exchange, as well as implementing the Atlântico Foundation's aims, with the ambition of contributing to the promotion and professionalization of social entrepreneurship in Angola.
António João Assis de Almeida, aged 51, is a Manager with a solid background of more than 20 years of experience in the Angolan banking financial sector. He is also a founding member of ATLANTICO, where, between 2012 and 2018, he served as executive director, 1st Vice President of the Executive Committee and Vice President of the Board of Directors, having had under his direct responsibility, among others, the departments of operations, institutional business and technologies.
