ATLANTICO WITH 30 MILLION EUR CREDIT LINE FROM COMMERZBANK
Millennium Atlantic Bank (ATLANTICO) and Germany's Commerzbank signed in Luanda a Financing Line of 30 Million Euros. This Line, which will allow ATLANTICO to strengthen its capacity to finance Projects that boost the development of the Economy, will also count on guarantees from Export Credit Agencies ("ECAs"), such as Euler Hermes from Germany.
This Line, signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ATLANTICO, Daniel Santos, and by its Financial Director, Éder Sousa, in the presence of the Vice-President of Commerzbank, responsible for the export finance area (export finance), Thomas Rybick, and the responsible of Commerzbank in Angola, Martin Hércules, has as main objective to "leverage ATLANTICO's support to the investment projects of its clients that have as purpose of their activity to contribute to the diversification of the Angolan economy", highlighted ATLANTICO's ECP.
Daniel Santos also clarified the criteria that will govern the granting of credit to projects that may be candidates for this line of credit: "The granting of credit will be made in kwanzas or indexed to foreign currency to projects, with a minimum amount to be made available of not less than 5,000,000.00 Kwanzas, covering preferably the productive sector."
